Introducing iCloud far before it existed. In 1997 Steve Jobs discussed his vision on computing at one of his legendary presentations. Looking back at his remarks, it is striking that almost 20 years ago, Jobs foresees the cloud as we know it today.
Back then, his audience clearly still had to be educated in the benefits of plain old Local Area Networking. Jobs already anticipated the emerging gigabit Ethernet technology and the opportunities that this ‘high-speed’ networking would bring for obtaining personal information anytime, anywhere. Also remarkable are his comments on Apple as being the sole integrated hardware and software vendor for offering seamless and very user-friendly computing.
